I absolutely loved the first Kinsley Sisters Book, Of Twisted Fates, so I was very excited to read the second book, all about Juliet and her love story.
It was incredibly different from the first novel, which was totally fine! I am so glad that Simon and Isabelle made several appearances in this novel, though, so I could relive some of the laughter I experienced in the first novel.
Just as the first novel, I loved the switching back and forth of the two main characters – this time Juliet and Miles.
Rather than the belly laughs I experienced with Simon and Isabelle, I experienced consistent goosebumps and contented smiles due to all of the quiet, tenderness and shy uncertainty between Miles and Juliet.
I am not a poet, but I really loved how the authors incorporated poetry consistently into the novel as a way for Miles and Juliet to inwardly and outwardly express the innermost parts of their souls.
The meeting of Miles and Juliet was brilliantly written, and I loved seeing throughout the novel how those first few days changed both of them for the better.
I loved the honesty of these characters, and their inner struggles as they tried to figure out what was the right thing to do, or what they really felt or what the other person meant.
Both Juliet and Miles were people to be admired. Juliet was bashful and quiet, a master of embroidery, and a lover of poetry, who adored her father and revered his medical profession. Miles was a hard-working merchant traveler who was kind and compassionate, and also a lover of poetry. Neither of them were very funny people, but appreciated the humor of those they loved. They also both had hearts full of love waiting to be lived and experienced every day.
I definitely recommend reading this sweet love story! You can learn more about it and buy it here.
